Measuring Less Than 1% Biodiesel in Diesel
For industries such as nuclear power, aviation, or marine vessels - even low levels of biodiesel in fuel are unacceptable. This is of concern since ASTM D-975 permits shipment of up to 5% biodiesel in fuel without notification to customer! The FTIR sampling technology approved for use under ASTM D7371-07 will not work for low level biodiesel measurement. A2’s PAL analyzers address this with the TumblIR sampling method (patent pending).
